Abstract
Thesis title: Implementation of Group Guidance Services to Increase SelfConfidence of Grade VII Students of SMPK St. Theresia Kupang in the Academic Year of 2025/2026. The problem in this study is whether the implementation of group guidance services can increase the self-confidence of grade VII students of SMPK St. Theresia Kupang in the Academic Year of 2025/2026? This study aims to determine the implementation of group guidance services can increase the selfconfidence of grade VII students of SMPK St. Theresia Kupang in the Academic Year of 2025/2026. The population in this study amounted to 30 people, to find out the sample in the study, the researcher conducted a pretest. The results of the pretest showed that 5 students had low self-confidence and 3 students had moderate selfconfidence. Therefore, students who had low and moderate self-confidence were used as samples in this study. This type of research is quantitative research with a pre-Experimental type. The variables in the study are the independent variable (X) group guidance services and the dependent variable (Y) self-confidence. The data collection tools used were self-confidence questionnaires and group guidance service guidelines. The data analysis technique used the t test. The results of the analysis show that t count is 12.973 while the t table value is 2.306 at a significance level of 5%. Thus, t count > t table then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, this shows that group guidance services can increase the self-confidence of class VII students of SMPK St. Theresia Kupang in the 2025/2026 academic year. Based on the results of this study, the researcher provides suggestions to: a) The principal is expected to better coordinate and support all Guidance and Counseling programs, xii so that they are implemented well to help students increase their self-confidence. b) Guidance and Counseling teachers are expected to optimize the implementation of group guidance services by applying appropriate service approaches and techniques, so as to encourage students to increase their self-confidence in expressing opinions and interacting socially. c) Students are expected to actively participate in following group guidance services implemented by Guidance and Counseling teachers to increase their self-confidence
