Abstract
Indonesia is an archipelago that has a variety of cultures that are reflected in the patterns and lifestyles of each region. One of the cultures owned by Indonesia is oral literature. Oral literature in the form of folklore is a hereditary story and expression of community culture conveyed through spoken language that functions for entertainment. Each region or tribe in NTT has its own folklore, one of which is Rote Ndao Regency. One of the folktales in Rote is “Ana Kode”. However, this folktale has been forgotten and almost never told again. This is influenced by the times and technology. The problem raised in this research is how the process of composing and the form of presentation of Ana Kode folklore in a ballet performance at Sanggar Touk Ina Lotek. The purpose of this research is to find out the process of composing and the form of presentation of the Ana Kode drama in the Touk Ina Lotek Studio. The research approach used is qualitative research. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with collaborative learning method. This research begins with finding data and literature about the folklore of Ana Kode. Dramatari Ana Kode is presented in the form of a group of 10 dancers, 5 male dancers and 5 female dancers with musical accompaniment from traditional musical instruments gong, drum, sasando and program music. The process of composing this drama was carried out for 10 meetings and was carried out through several stages, namely the stages of motion exploration, improvisation, and composition. The use of collaborative methods helped the dancers in the composing process. Through this method, researchers and dancers exchange ideas and opinions in the process of composing a variety of movements that are in accordance with the concept of the performance. After going through various stages and also practicing, the dancers can perform the Ana Kode drama well. And the results of this dance performance are packaged in the form of a short film, so that it can be accepted and understood by everyone.
