Abstract

This thesis is entitled Effectiveness of Motor Vehicle Tax Payment Services in Takari District, Kupang Regency. The main problem in this study is how effective is the motor vehicle tax payment service. Thus the purpose of this study is to determine the Effectiveness of Motor Vehicle Tax Payment Services in Takari District, Kupang Regency. This study uses the theory of Richard M. Steers (1985) in his book "Organizational Effectiveness" where there are 3 indicators of effectiveness, namely 1). Achievement of Goals, 2) Integration, 3) Adaptation. To determine the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax payment services by service units, the author conducted a study using a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach method. Primary data sources were obtained directly from informants, while secondary data sources were obtained through official documents from the Oesusu village office and agencies related to this study. The informants in this study were the Oesusu Village Community Service Unit. This study shows that the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax payment services in Takari District has not been running effectively, this is indicated by several factors that hinder the service process, including non-permanent employees, and not having their own service office, as well as inadequate internet access, so that motor vehicle tax payment services do not run well.
