Abstract

Paradise is a cross-border transportation service operating on the Kupang–Timor Leste route. The ticket booking process and passenger record management are still conducted manually, resulting in service delays, payment inefficiencies, and data recording errors. This research aims to design and develop a web-based ticket booking information system to facilitate the booking process, passenger data management, and real-time monitoring of seat availability. The system is developed using the Laravel framework based on PHP with a MySQL database and applies the Waterfall development method, which includes analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance phases. The main features of the system include online ticket booking, departure schedules, passenger management, payment status tracking, and travel reporting. The system also supports payment methods through bank transfer and cash on delivery (COD). The results of this research show that the developed online ticket booking information system is able to improve operational efficiency, accelerate service processes, reduce data recording errors, and provide transparent information on seat availability. With the implementation of this web-based information system, Paradise’s transportation services become more modern, efficient, and well-structured in supporting operational activities and enhancing customer satisfaction.
