Abstract

This study aims to design and describe the quality of problem-solving-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) in algebraic form materials at UPTD SMP N 6 Kupang Tengah reviewed from the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This research is a research and development with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the study were 28 students of class VII C UPTD SMP N 6 Central Kupang. Data collection instruments are in the form of interview guidelines, validation questionnaires for material and media experts, questionnaires on teacher and student responses, and learning outcome tests. The data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis with the Likert scale. The results of the study show that the problem solving-based LKPD developed meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria. Validation by material experts resulted in a percentage of 83.57% with a very valid category, while validation by media experts reached 81.33% with a very valid category. The practicality test based on the students' responses obtained a score of 87.95% with the very practical category, and the teacher's response reached 91.42% with the very practical category. The effectiveness test showed that 24 out of 28 students (85.71%) achieved learning completeness with a score of ≥ 75, so that LKPD was included in the category of very effective. This LKPD integrates problem-solving steps according to Polya, namely understanding problems, planning strategies, implementing plans, and reflecting, which has been proven to be able to improve students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills in algebraic form materials.
