Abstract
Satisfaction on Employee Performance at the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Central Timor Regency through Work Discipline as an Intervening Variable” was written by Irmigardis Makun NIM: 81122215, supervised by P. Dr. Philipus Tule, SVD and Dr. Stanis Man, SE., M.Si. The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) An overview of employee performance, work motivation, work environment, job satisfaction, and work discipline at the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Central Timor Regency. 2) The significance of the influence of work motivation, work environment, and job satisfaction on work discipline. 3) The significance of the influence of work motivation, work environment, and job satisfaction on employee performance. 4) The significance of work discipline mediating the influence of work motivation, work environment, and job satisfaction on employee performance. The sampling technique was conducted by census on 43 respondents at the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Central Timor Regency. The type of research was quantitative. The types of data used were primary and secondary data; and the data analysis techniques were descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive analysis show that work motivation, work environment, job satisfaction, work discipline, and employee performance at the Civil Registry and Population Office of North Central Timor Regency are at a good level. The results of the inferential analysis show that: 1) Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the work environment has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance, and job satisfaction has a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance. 2) Work motivation and the work environment have a positive and significant effect on work discipline, while job satisfaction has a positive but insignificant effect on work discipline. 3) Work discipline is able to mediate the influence of work motivation and work environment on employee performance, while work discipline is not able to mediate the influence of job satisfaction on employee performance. It is recommended that the North Central Timor Regency Population and Civil Registration Office maintain and pay attention to employee motivation, work environment, job satisfaction, work discipline, and performance. Researchers who will conduct research at the Population and Civil Registration Office of North Central Timor Regency are advised to select variables other than those already used by researcher for the advancement of the Population and Civil Registration Agency of North Central Timor Regency.
