Abstract

North Mollo District is one of the sub-districts in TTS Regency which has many tourist areas. Currently, information about all these tourist areas is still presented in the form of conventional maps and also newspaper advertisements. The disadvantage of the information system is that it only displays pictures and names of tourist attractions, but does not display in detail the location points and facilities at available tourist attractions. This of course can make it difficult for potential tourists who will come to visit the destination tourist destination. For this reason, it is necessary to create a web-based geographic information system that can make it easier for potential tourists to find out all the information about these tourist attractions. This research uses the waterfall method with stages which include Analysis, System Design, System Implementation and System Testing. The application will be developed using a PHP program and MySQL database as data storage. This Geographic Information System (GIS) for mapping tourist areas has two user roles, namely the admin role for managing web-based tourist data and the user role for displaying web-based tourist attractions. The result of this research is a web-based geographic information system that provides convenience and speed for prospective tourists in displaying location maps, images, facilities and types of tourism in North Mollo District.
