Abstract

Water is a fundamental human necessity that plays a crucial role in supporting daily activities and overall well-being. Biggness Water Naimata is a business entity that specializes in the distribution of clean water through tanker truck services to meet community water needs. However, the current ordering process is still conducted manually, resulting in several operational challenges that affect service efficiency and effectiveness. At present, customers are required to place orders by contacting the business management via telephone to provide order details, including the quantity of water requested and the delivery address. Furthermore, customers often need to visit the business premises directly to place orders or verify service availability. This conventional approach has led to various issues, including inaccuracies in data recording, limited service accessibility, difficulties in monitoring order progress, and reduced service performance during periods of increased demand. In response to these challenges, this study aims to design and develop a web-based water ordering information system for Biggness Water Naimata. The proposed system incorporates several key functionalities, including online order placement, estimated delivery time calculation, water availability verification, real-time order tracking, digital payment options through bank transfers as well as cash transactions, and timely dissemination of delivery schedule information in a transparent manner. The system development process adopts the Waterfall methodology, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance operational efficiency, minimize data entry errors, facilitate customer access to ordering services regardless of time and location, and ultimately improve the overall quality of service and customer satisfaction.. .
