Abstract
The thesis entitled "The Influence of Facilities and Infrastructure, Learning Motivation, and Teacher Teaching Competence on Students' Learning Achievement at Mother Teresa Catholic Junior High School Kupang" was written by Adriana Susani Bayu, Student ID (NIM) 811231001, and supervised by P. Dr Philipus Tule, SVD and Dr Aleksius Madar, M. Ed. This study aims to determine the effects of infrastructure, learning motivation, and teachers' teaching competence on students' learning achievement at Mother Teresa Catholic Junior High School, Kupang. This study is quantitative. The objectives of this study are to determine: 1) an overview of infrastructure, learning motivation, and teaching competence of teachers at Muder Teresa Catholic Junior High School in Kupang. 2) Facilities and infrastructure, learning motivation, and teacher competence partially have a significant effect on student achievement at Muder Teresa Catholic Junior High School in Kupang. 3) Facilities and infrastructure, learning motivation, and teacher competence simultaneously have a significant effect on student achievement at Muder Teresa Catholic Junior High School in Kupang. The descriptive analysis results show that 1) Learning Achievement is in the Very Good category with an indicator achievement of 89.55%. 2) Infrastructure is in the Good category with an indicator achievement of 77.57%. 3) Learning motivation is in the Very Good category with an indicator achievement of 88.86%. 4) Teacher teaching competence was in the excellent category, with an indicator achievement of 88.59%. The results of the inferential statistical analysis showed that the infrastructure variable partially did not have a positive and significant effect on the student achievement variable, with a t-value of 709 and a significance value of 0.481. The learning motivation variable has a positive and significant effect on the student achievement variable with a t-value of 4.173 and a significance value of 0.000. The teacher's teaching competency variable has a positive and significant effect on the student achievement variable with a t-value of 4.124 and a significance value of 0.000. Simultaneously, infrastructure, learning motivation, and teacher teaching competence affect student achievement at Muder Teresa Catholic Junior High School in Kupang, as indicated by a value of 26.471 with a significance value of 0.000. The contribution of the three independent variables (R²) of infrastructure, learning motivation, and teacher teaching competence to student learning achievement at Muder Teresa Catholic Junior High School in Kupang is 0.558 or 55.8%. The remaining 44.2% is influenced by other variables not included in the study.
