Abstract

This thesis is entitled "The Application of Good Governance Principles in Public Services Based on Service Zones at the Sikka Regency Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil)." This study aims to analyze the application of good governance principles (transparency, accountability, and fairness/equality) in public services at the Sikka Regency Population and Civil Registration Office. The problem formulation is how are these good governance principles applied in public services at the Sikka Regency Population and Civil Registration Office? The theory used in this study is the theory of good governance. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results show that the Disdukcapil has attempted to implement good governance principles through various innovations, but still faces obstacles such as limited facilities and human resources, as well as uneven reach of innovations. The Sikka Regency Population and Civil Registration Office has demonstrated good performance, but continuous improvement is still needed. Suggestions put forward include expanding the reach of innovations, improving facilities and human resources, officer training, optimizing information technology, more intensive outreach, responsiveness to criticism on social media, and regular evaluations.
