Abstract

Frans Keraf, M.Pd Direct learning model is one of the models of teaching that can help students learn basic skills in obtaining information that is taught step by step. Learning Model directly created specifically to facilitate learners learning declarative and procedural knowledge are well planned. The main problem in this research is how the results of the application of direct learning model in teaching the subject matter of energy and effort in class VIII students of SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang? In detail the problems in research are: 1) How does a teacher's ability to manage learning activities by applying Direct learning model? 2) How completeness Learning outcome indicator (IHB) learners in learning the subject matter of energy and effort to implement a direct learning model ? 3) How does the study of students in learning by applying Direct learning model? 4) How do students respond to the learning activities by applying Direct Learning Model? The purpose of this research is to describe the results of the application of Learning Model direct in teaching subject matter of energy and effort in class VIII students of SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang in academic year 2014/2015. In detail the objectives of this study are: 1) To describe the teacher's ability to manage learning activities by applying Direct Learning Model. 2) To describe the completeness indicator of learning outcomes in learning by applying direct learning model. 3) To describe the learning outcomes of students in learning by applying direct learning model. 4) To describe the response of students to the learning activities by applying direct learning model. This type of research is descriptive and subject of this research is the teacher (researcher) and eighth grade students of SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang Academic Year 2014/2015, about 17 students. While the instrument used in this study is the observation sheet management of learning by applying direct instructional model subject matter energy and effort, achievement test (product, affective and psychomotor) and spreadsheet response learners. Mechanical analysis of the results of research is quantitative descriptive analysis includes calculating the average score, percentage and proportion. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis, research data that the general application of direct instructional model is good for the subject matter of energy and effort in class VIII students of SMP Adhyaksa 2 Kupang. There were 17 learners. 1) The ability of teachers to manage learning by applying Direct Learning models that include: planning learning tools, learning evaluation planning and implementation of learning is good category. 2) Indicators of learning outcomes (products, affective and psychomotor) were prepared with either category. 3) The results of learners (product, affective and psychomotor) complete with both categories. 4) The response of students to study the implementation of activities undertaken by teachers includes five aspects; namely the preliminary activities, core activities, the closing, and time management class atmosphere with good category.
