Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial competence, work behavior, work motivation, and work commitment on the performance of creative economy entrepreneurs in the craft sector in Kupang City. Using a quantitative approach, this study aims to explain the relationship and influence between the independent and dependent variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 craft entrepreneurs selected using probability sampling techniques using the Slovin formula. Data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The descriptive analysis results indicate that entrepreneurial competence (84%) is categorized as very good, work behavior (89%) is categorized as very good, work motivation (89%) is categorized as very good, work commitment (89%) is categorized as very good, and the performance of creative economy entrepreneurs in the craft sector in Kupang City (88%) is categorized as very good. It can be concluded that the variables studied reflect good business conditions. For the results of the inferential statistical analysis, the t-test results show that partially the variables of entrepreneurial competence and work commitment have a significant effect on the performance of creative economy business actors in the craft sector in Kupang City, seen from the t-value of the entrepreneurial competence variable of 4.169 with a significant value of 0.000 and the t-value for the work commitment variable of 4.223 with a significant value of 0.000. This finding indicates that the increase in the performance of craft business actors is greatly influenced by adequate entrepreneurial skills and a strong commitment in running a business. While the results of the t-test on the variables of work behavior and work motivation do not have a significant effect on the performance of creative economy business actors in Kupang City by looking at the results of the t-test on the work behavior variable, the t-value is 0.294 with a significant value of 0.770 and the t-value of the work motivation variable is 0.271 with a significant value of 0.787, although these two variables do not have a significant effect on the performance of creative economy business actors in Kupang City, they still have a positive influence in creating a good business ecosystem. Therefore, this study recommends the need for a sustainable entrepreneurial competency development program, strengthening work commitment, and providing policy support from local governments in the form of training, business mentoring, and facilitating market access. Further research is recommended to develop other relevant variables and expand the scope of the research area to obtain more comprehensive results.
