Abstract

This thesis is entitled “The Effect of Profitability, Leverage, and Firm Size on Firm Value in Food and Beverage Sub-Sector Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the Period 2021–2023.” was written by Oktaviana Seuk Bria (student ID: 811231015), under the guidance of, by: Dr. Stanis Man, SE., M.Si (Supervisor I) and dan Dr.Yolinda Sonbay SE,M.Sc (Supervisor 2) This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of profitability on firm value; (2) the effect of leverage on firm value; (3) the effect of firm size on firm value; and (4) the simultaneous effect of profitability, leverage, and firm size on firm value in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2021–2023. This study employs a quantitative method using secondary data sources. The sampling technique applied is purposive sampling, resulting in 18 food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as the research sample. The data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis with the assistance of EViews software. The selected panel data regression model in this study is the random effect model. The results of this study indicate that profitability has a positive and significant effect on firm value, leverage has a negative and significant effect on firm value, and firm size has a negative and significant effect on firm value. In addition, profitability, leverage, and firm size simultaneously have a significant effect on firm value in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021–2023.
