Abstract
Theresearchentitled “DeterminantsofLeadershipStyle,Motivation, and Organizational Culture on Employee Performance Mediated by Job Satisfaction at the Nusa Tenggara II Regional Housing and Settlement Development Implementation Unit” by Aryanto A. Kollawila, Student ID 811241004,supervised by Dr. Simon Sia Niha, S.E., M.Si. and P. Dr. Pascalis Seran,SVD,Dipl.Theol.,MBA. Employeeperformanceisakeyfactorindeterminingthesuccessofpublic organizations,particularlytechnicalimplementingunitsthataredirectlyinvolved in providing housing servicesto thecommunity. This study aims to analyze the effectsofleadershipstyle,workmotivation,andorganizationalcultureonemployee performance, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable at the Implementing Unit for Housing Provision in Settlement Areas of East Nusa TenggaraII(BP3KPNTII).Thisresearchemployedaquantitativeapproachusing asurveymethodinvolvingemployeesofBP3KPNTII.Dataanalysiswasconducted usingStructuralEquationModeling–PartialLeastSquares(SEM-PLS). The results of descriptive statistical analysis indicate that, in general, leadership style, work motivation, organizational culture, job satisfaction, and employeeperformancearecategorizedasgood.Nevertheless,severalweaknesses wereidentifiedinaspectsofcoordination,technicaldatamanagement,supervision ofprogramimplementation,andbudgetefficiency,whichaffecttheorganization’s performanceoutcomes. The inferential analysis results reveal that work motivation and job satisfactionhaveapositiveandsignificanteffectonemployeeperformance,while leadershipstyleandorganizationalculturedonothaveadirecteffectonemployee performance. Leadership style and organizational culture have a positive and significanteffectonjobsatisfaction,whereasworkmotivationdoesnotsignificantly affect job satisfaction. Mediation testing demonstrates that job satisfaction mediates the effect of leadershipstyle and organizational culture on employee performance, but does not mediate the effect of work motivation on employee performance. These findings confirm that job satisfaction is a key factor in improvingemployeeperformanceatBP3KPNTII.
