Abstract
This research is important because Timor Island has unique biodiversity with many endemic species, yet scientific data on amphibians, especially the order Anura, are still very limited in Nusa Tenggara Timur. The spring in Desa Oeleu, Kolbano, Timor Tengah Selatan has the potential to serve as an important habitat for Anura. Therefore, this study is necessary to determine the species richness of Anura found in the spring of Desa Oeleu, Kolbano, South Central Timor. The method used in this study is the purposive sampling method. Observations were made on two types of habitats, namely forest habitats and taro plant habitats. Sampling was carried out using the Visual Encounter Survey (VES) method. The results showed that both locations had almost the same type composition with low levels of wealth. Four species were found, namely Duttaprhrynus melanostictus, Polypedates leucomystax, Fejervarya limnocharis, and Kaloula baleata. The most dominant species found in the research location area is D. melanostictus.
