Abstract

This thesis is entitled "The Role of Village Government in Clean Water Management in Rana Kolong Village, Kota Komba District, East Manggarai Regency". This research is motivated by clean water access in Rana Kolong Village which is damaged and leaking pipes that are installed and the lack of community participation in repairing damaged pipes. With the aim of the research to determine the role of the village government in clean water management and the factors that influence the implementation of the role in clean water management. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The data sources used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data collection, data reduction, presentation and conclusions. The results of the research found by researchers based on the focus of the research are infrastructure planning and development, infrastructure maintenance, community empowerment, supervision and regulation. Based on this focus, the Rana Kolong village government has carried out their role well and responsibly. In this study, there are also factors that influence the role of the village government, namely low human resources, lack of awareness and participation from the community and also lack of socialization by the village government to the community regarding the importance of clean water.
