Abstract

The new student admission process is a crucial stage in education that requires efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Manual admission processes often lead to challenges such as document accumulation, recording errors, delays in announcing selection results, and limited access to information for applicants. This research aims to design and develop a Web-Based New Student Admission Information System with Online Registration and Automated Announcement Features at SMKN Kakuluk Mesak. The system allows applicants to register online, upload documents, and receive selection results automatically. The system development follows the waterfall method, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Results indicate that the system can accelerate administrative processes, reduce human errors, and provide easier access to information for both applicants and the school. Therefore, this system has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of new student admission management and support the digitalization of educational services.
