Abstract

The new student admission process at Alkani State Senior High School is currently still conducted manually. Prospective students and their parents must come to the school in person to register, while all data is manually recorded by the committee. This situation often results in long queues, the risk of registration errors, and delays in receiving selection results because announcements are still made in person at the school. To address these issues, this study employed the Waterfall method, which consists of the stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This method was chosen because it supports a structured and sequential system development process. The results of this study resulted in a web-based New Student Admission System that allows prospective students to register online, upload required documents, and access selection results without having to come to school. This system is expected to improve the efficiency of the registration process, reduce administrative errors, and provide information more quickly and accurately.
