Abstract

The need for clean water is very important for human life, because clean water is a basic human need. In Lamatewelu Village, the availability of clean water is an important issue that has not been fully resolved. Until now, the community still has to work together to meet their clean water needs, from the procurement of water sources to their distribution. Therefore, a partnership between the village government and the community is needed to overcome this clean water issue. The research method used was descriptive with a qualitative approach. This study utilized data analysis techniques to describe the partnership model between the village government and the community in water management. The main variable of this study was water management partnership. The sources for this study included the Lamatewelu village head, community leaders, water coordinators, and the community. The results of the study show that the community has played an active and independent role in clean water management. Community participation is manifested through the formation of management groups, monthly contributions, and mutual cooperation in the maintenance of water facilities and infrastructure. On the other hand, the role of the village government only began to be seen in 2024. Previously, government involvement in clean water management was minimal or even non-existent. Involvement in 2024 took the form of financial assistance for the repair of clean water networks. The clean water management partnership in Lamatewelu Village is dominated by the community, while the village government has only just begun to contribute.
