Abstract

The research, entitled "The Role of the Sikka Regency Industry and Trade Office in the Management of the Wairkoja Traditional Market," is formulated with the following problem: "What is the Role of the Sikka Regency Industry and Trade Office in Managing the Wairkoja Traditional Market?" The purpose of this study is to describe the role of the Sikka Regency Industry and Trade Office in Managing the Wairkoja Traditional Market. The research method used in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study used several steps: data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and data verification. The results show that the relevant Office has provided various facilities such as parking areas, public restrooms, trash cans, and trading stalls. However, various problems remain, such as limited parking space, damaged public facilities, garbage accumulation, and vendors' non-compliance with stall placement. Budgetary factors and lack of public awareness are the main obstacles to optimizing market management. Cross-sector coordination and increased supervision are needed to create orderly, comfortable, and hygienic markets.
