Abstract

The development of businesses based on traditional weaving groups basically aims to give families, community groups and individuals more access to the resources needed to carry out the production process and provide opportunities to try ikat weaving, which is one of the cultural heritages of the Indonesian nation, spread throughout throughout the Indonesian archipelago and has developed into a creative industry that is very important for the country's economy. The type of research used is qualitative research. It produces descriptive data about the subject's behavior and spoken and written words. To reach this conclusion, the researcher provided an in-depth explanation of the relevant data and theory. Marketing mix theory is used by researchers in this thesis. This research was carried out in Watoone Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency. The results of the research show that the strategy used by the Ina Glekat weaving group in developing its business is the ikat woven fabric products in the Ina Glekat group and have quality, motifs, basic materials and types of fabric. Most weaves are made with natural dyeing from store-bought yarn. Apart from that, the price offered is in accordance with the quality of the product and the price is affordable. The Ina Glekat group sells the woven fabric it makes in its weaving house in an easily accessible and safe location. And the Ina Glakat weaving group promotes their products through HP social media (Facebook and WhatsApp (WA) as well as by word of mouth.
