Abstract
Abstract. A study was conducted to analyze the quality of fermented local feed for pigs. The aim was to analyze and compare the quality of non-fermented and fermented feed. The method used was an experimental method. Feed quality analysis was conducted through proximate tests, which included moisture, protein, fat, fiber, and ash content. The results showed significant differences between non-fermented and fermented feed. Local feed fermented with the addition of maggot flour had higher protein and fat content, while fiber content was lower than non-fermented feed. This indicates that the fermentation process can improve nutritional composition and increase feed digestibility. Overall, the nutritional quality of fermented feed was superior to non-fermented feed. Therefore, it can be concluded that fermentation with the addition of maggot flour has the potential to improve the quality of local feed for pigs, making it suitable for use as a higherquality alternative feed. Keywords: fermentation, local feed, proximate
