Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the community suggestion box in improving the quality of public services in Watoone Village, Witihama District, East Flores Regency. The background of this research is based on the low level of community participation in conveying aspirations and the limited communication media between the community and the village government. This study employed a quantitative method with 40 respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed to measure the level of effectiveness of the community suggestion box. The results indicate that the community suggestion box in Watoone Village is considered effective in improving the quality of public services, particularly in terms of information transparency, aspiration channeling, and enhancing the responsiveness of the village government to community needs. The existence of the suggestion box has encouraged the community to become more active in providing feedback and suggestions regarding public services.
