Abstract
UMKM DS Lighting 27 is a business engaged in the rental of lighting equipment packages for various event needs. The existing business processes are still carried out manually, including transaction recording, customer data management, and the delivery of information regarding package availability and rental status. This condition leads to several issues such as delays in information delivery, recording errors, data duplication, and difficulties for customers in obtaining real-time information. This study aims to design and develop a web-based lighting equipment rental application to improve operational efficiency and service quality at UMKM DS Lighting 27. The system development method used in this study is the Waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. System design is carried out using Flowcharts, Hierarchical Diagrams, Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD). The application is developed using the Python programming language with the Django framework, and MySQL as the database. System testing is conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all system functions operate according to user requirements. The results of this study indicate that the developed application is capable of facilitating online lighting package reservations, providing real-time information on package availability and rental status, and automatically managing transaction records and data. Therefore, this application is expected to enhance business management efficiency, reduce recording errors, and improve customer satisfaction at UMKM DS Lighting 27.
