Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Rice for the Poor (Raskin) Program in Kletek Village, Central Malaka District, Malaka Regency. The Raskin program is designed to improve social welfare, reduce poverty, and ensure food security for poor families in Indonesia. The methodology used is qualitative research with a case study method, which allows for an in-depth analysis of issues related to the implementation of this program. The results of the study show that Raskin has successfully mobilized community participation in monitoring and evaluating rice distribution, increasing transparency and accountability. The program offers rice subsidies that make access to staple food more affordable for poor families, thereby helping to ease their economic burden. The impacts also include improvements in meeting basic needs, health, and education, as well as efforts toward social equity. and the economy in rural areas. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of the Raskin program in supporting food security for poor communities and improving their quality of life, with the hope of reducing social inequality and sustainably enhancing welfare.
