Abstract

Thesis entitled “Analysis of the Influence Of Organizational Support and Human Resource Competency on Employee Performance at the Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency with Work Motivation as a Mediating Variable”, by Rikco Ahmadi Umar NIM 811212046, supervised by P. Dr. Philipus Tulle, SVD and Dr. M.E. Perseveranda, SE.,M.Si. In supporting the achievement of development goals, one organization that needs to perform well is the Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency. The aim of this research is to find out; 1) an overview of employee performance, work motivation, organizational support and HR competency at the Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency; 2) the significance of the influence of organizational support and HR competency on the work motivation of Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency employees; 3) the significance of the influence of work motivation, organizational support and HR competency on the performance of Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency Employees; 4) HR competency on the performance of Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency employees. This research uses quantitative methods. The research sample was 56 employees of the Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistic using the Smart PLS application. The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that the variables of employee performance, work motivation, organizational support and HR competency are in the “Good” category. The results of inferential statistical analysis show that organizational support and HR competency have a significant effect on work motivation, Furthermore, organizational support, HR competency and work motivation have a significant effect on. There is a significant indirect effect of organizational support and HR competency variable on employee performance through work motivation. The results of the coefficient of determination (R2) state that the ability of the variables organizational support, HR competency and work motivation to explain the performance variables in this research is 85,5 %; The ability of the organizational support and HR competency variables to explain the work motivation variable in this study was 84,9%. Based on the results of this research, it can be recommended that Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency employee increase work motivation, especially an social relations indicators, increase organizational support, especially on employee welfare indicators, Kupang City Regional Disaster Management Agency leaders and employees increase HR competency, especially on knowledge indicators.
