Abstract

Research on the characteristics of amphibian habitats in NTT is very minimal, so there are still many people who do not know that amphibians have an important role in an ecosystem. One of the places in NTT that could be a habitat for amphibians is Science Techno Park which is one of the lands of the Widya Mandira Kupang Catholic University Foundation which is located in Taloetan village, Nekamese sub-district, Kupang district. This research aims to determine the differences in environmental parameters in aquatic habitats and terrestrial habitats and to determine the relationship between environmental parameters and population density of bullfrogs in the Science Techno Park of Widya Mandira Catholic University, Kupang. The method used in this research is the Visual Encounter Survey (VES), where researchers will record habitat data and count the number of individual bullfrogs found at predetermined points during the survey. The data obtained was then analyzed using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis using SPSS. The results of the research show that the environmental parameters for all points in the aquatic habitat and points in the terrestrial habitat are on average the same but the number of individuals is different, where the encounter of more bullfrog individuals is at the terrestrial point with a total of 15 individuals, while at the aquatic point there are 10 individuals for a total of 25 individuals were found. there is no significant relationship between environmental parameters and population density
