Abstract
The existence of digital information media is very important for educational institutions to increase competitiveness. Currently, SMA Negeri 5 Kota Komba faces obstacles in disseminating information because it does not yet have an official website. This requires the public and prospective students to come directly to the school to obtain information, which is considered inefficient. This study aims to design and implement a web-based promotional information system to expand the reach of school information. The development method used is Waterfall, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, code implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through observation and interviews with the school. The resulting system provides essential features such as school profiles, teacher and student data, location maps, and current activity agendas. Based on testing of the system, it can be analyzed that in general the system can run well and is able to function as an effective digital promotional medium, as well as present information on new student admissions guidelines in a transparent and informative manner. Therefore, it is feasible to be implemented in the actual conditions at SMAN 5 Kota Komba. Keywords: School Promotional Website, SMA Negeri 5 Kota Komba, Information System, Waterfall
