Abstract

The development of information technology requires educational institutions to provide fast, accurate, and easily accessible information media for the public. SMK Informatika St. Petrus Ruteng, as a vocational high school, needs a web portal that can present integrated school information such as school profiles, teacher data, student data, departments, news, and announcements. This study aims to design and develop a web portal for SMK Informatika St. Petrus Ruteng as a web-based information and communication medium. The system development method used in this research is the Waterfall method, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. system implementation utilizes PHP programming language and MySQL database. System testing is conducted using the testing method to ensure that all system functions operate according to user requirements. The results show that the developed web portal is able to manage and present school information effectively and facilitate the school in delivering information to students, parents, and the general public. The implementation of this web portal is expected to improve the quality of school information services optimally.
