Abstract
The scientific approach ia a learning process designed in such a way that students actively construct, laws, and principles through stages of observing, questiniong, collecting data, asscotiong, and communicating the discovered concepts or laws. This study was condected to examine the teachhers ability to manage learing by applying the scientific approach, as well as students learning achievement and indicator mastery after participating in the scientific approach – based learning. The tipe of research used in this study in descriptive research. The sample consisted of 12 students from class XI IPA A of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui – Kupang, selected using total sampling technique the results showed that the teacher abyliti to manage learning using the scientific approach on the colloid system phase F material was categorized as good, with an average score of 4,00. Student learning mastery in the knowledge aspect was achieved with an average score of 88. In the skills aspect students also achieved mastery was achieved with an average score of 88. Indicator mastery was also achieved with an average score of 0,89.
