Abstract
"The traditional harvest thanksgiving ceremony (peti woza) is one of the traditions of the Galong village community that has been passed down from generation to generation from the ancestors of the Galong village since ancient times. This Peti Woza ceremony is a sign of gratitude to Mori Dedek (God) and to Embo (Ancestors) for all the results of hard work obtained and enjoyed. Simply put, this peti woza ceremony is a thanksgiving feast for humanity, especially the people of Galong village, to the spirits of their ancestors for all the results of hard work that have been obtained and enjoyed. This research focuses on the Form of Presentation and the values contained in the Danding Song at the harvest thanksgiving ceremony. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon that occurs, which shows that this danding song is increasingly being pushed aside, even rarely performed in traditional ceremonies and other social ceremonies. This is influenced by internal and external problems from the development of the times both in urban areas and even to remote areas of Manggarai society. Danding songs are also increasingly being pushed aside and losing their function in the midst of today's community life. This, as well as the lack of public understanding of the symbolic values contained in Danding songs. The main problems in this study are 1. How is the presentation of Danding songs in the harvest thanksgiving ceremony (peti woza) in the Galong village community, Watu Pari Village, Kota Komba Utara District, East Manggarai Regency? 2. What values are contained in Danding songs in the harvest thanksgiving ceremony (peti woza) in the Galong village community, Watu Pari Village, Kota Komba Utara District, East Manggarai Regency? This study uses an ethnographic method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation and documentation of informants, namely, traditional elders, Danding song leaders, and Tua teno (landlords). The results of the study show that Danding songs are one of the Manggarai traditional traditions in the form of pantun that reflects the life of the Manggarai community which is presented in a circle with a vocal structure consisting of Sako and Wale. The values contained in Danding songs include religious values, spiritual values, social values and solidarity, local wisdom values, moral education values, "The study examines the aesthetics and cultural identity of Manggarai. This research contributes to the preservation of local culture and enriches ethnomusicological studies through the analysis of traditional Manggarai music."
