Abstract

Education is one of the key factors in national development, and in this digital era, the use of information technology in the education sector is very important. SMA Negeri 1 Tasifeto Barat, located in Tasifeto Barat District, Belu Regency, faces challenges in managing student, teacher, curriculum, and school activity data manually, which often causes delays and data errors. Therefore, the implementation of a web-based School Information System (SIS) in this school is very necessary to improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in administrative and academic management. This system allows the integration and digitization of various data, such as student information, teaching, school activities, and communication between schools, students, and parents. This study aims to design and develop a web-based school information system that can facilitate access and management of information at SMA Negeri 1 Tasifeto Barat, so that it can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of school administration. The research methodology used is the Waterfall model, which involves the stages of planning, design, implementation and testing. The expected results of this study are the creation of a system that can provide convenience for students, teachers, and schools in accessing information and managing data quickly and accurately.
