Abstract

The CleanUp Kupang Community is a community initiative engaged in community-based waste management in the city of Kupang. In its implementation, this community still faces obstacles in the form of dependence on the individual route knowledge of officers and a fee payment system that is still carried out manually and often experiences delays. This research aims to design and implement a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) to improve the operational efficiency of waste management. This system provides the following key features: digital mapping of member locations with interactive maps and internal route navigation, online fee payment integration, transportation scheduling, and reporting of illegal waste by the community. The system was developed using the Django framework as the backend, Bootstrap and JavaScript as the frontend, and SQLite as the Database, using the Waterfall development method. The results of the study show that the resulting GIS system is able to reduce dependence on the individual knowledge of officers through visualization and route calculations integrated into the application, improve the orderliness of fee payments, and encourage community participation in reporting and monitoring illegal waste, thereby supporting the efficiency and sustainability of CleanUp Kupang's services.
