Abstract

Apotek Pharmacy is a pharmacy that provides a wide range of healthcare medicines. However, the sales and promotion processes still face several challenges, including the use of manual transaction systems that are inefficient in terms of time. This condition causes financial losses that are difficult to monitor properly. Moreover, weaknesses in management, particularly in monitoring stock availability and separating expired medicines, have resulted in frequent customer complaints. This study aims to design and implement a web-based information system as an efficient solution for marketing and selling healthcare medicines at Apotek Pharmacy. The system is developed using the waterfall methodology, which includes the stages of analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. PHP is used as the programming language for web development, while MYSQL serves as the database management system. System testing is carried out using the black box testing method, and the results indicate that the developed web-based medicine sales information system is expected to provide a cost-effective and efficient platfrom for promoting and managing medicine sales at Apotek Pharmacy on a wider scale.
